Business Context and Main Purpose of the Job:

• Process Development to enable launch and roll-out of global innovations for Hair & Skin products.
• Driving benefit through processing technology, unlocking opportunities for consumer, supply chain and business
• Process design to enable increased capability, flexibility and efficiency in factory “make” areas.
• Consistent effective approaches to specifications, recommendations, technology transfer, trials, pilot plant design, project execution.
• Programme management in functional excellence in terms of skills, facilities and practices.

Key interface to R&D functional teams and partners (Supply Chain Technology and factory).

Main Accountabilities:

• Deliver manufacturing process design to deliver Personal Care projects on time in full.
• Execute process design to local markets, supply chain factories and resolving any post launch issues
• Plan, design and execute pilot plant trials.
• Use Design Of Experiment, statistics and data analysis to create better product understanding and improve scale up between pilot and factory
• Competent in application of best practices in technology delivery and transfer (Early Product Management, Process Specifications, Process Validation, Unilever Sustainable Living Plan).
• Supervision and reporting of Main Plant Trials.
• Monitor Process Engineering field for improvements in designs, new technologies, training programmes etc.
• Support Supply Chain strategic work and operations, e.g. driving process optimization for batch cycle time reduction
• Drive process led innovations to unlock new product opportunities

Operate according to procedures, equipment and ways of working in line with the Unilever frameworks, standards and policies

Requirement

R&D or Supply Chain experience in FMCG preferred or other industry sectors Previous roles in development, engineering design and commissioning.

Relevant academic background in key science & engineering majors, such as (not limited) Chemical/Chemistry/Material/Polymer/Mechanical/Physics.

Experience with data analysis, visualization and use is desirable Knowledge of process control, software/hardware is desirable
