Group Procurement

Group Procurement is responsible for the management and cost control of RWS’ global indirect spend equating to approximately £86m annually across a variety of categories such as I.T., Real Estate, HR, Marketing, Legal & Professional Services and Telecommunications.  This spend is serviced via approximately 3,500 suppliers whilst the commercial real estate portfolio consists of approximately 70 offices globally.

 

Job Purpose

Joining RWS’s developing procurement team you will become an integral part of the team, supporting and driving our success and growth. You will play a crucial role handling various procurement tasks and reporting with precision and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with the team and stakeholders to ensure the smooth execution of procurement activities while developing your procurement knowledge.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team and stakeholders to assist in all aspects of the procurement process, including raising purchase orders and communicating with suppliers.
  • Liaise with Finance Teams globally to coordinate the supplier invoice process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand their requirements, budget and delivery timelines.
  • Support the team in evaluating supplier performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into relevant systems, including supplier and product information.
  • Production of spend analysis reports.
  • Ownership and maintenance of Procurement Performance reporting & dashboards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights and suggestions for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and contribute to the overall success of the company.
  • Continue your development as a procurement leader.

 

Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience of procurement and/or supply chain operations.  
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ideally you would be fully or partly CIPS qualified, though a desire to develop yourself is sufficient.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge and influence senior stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Good commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data entry and analysis.
