The role manages purchasing categories for indirect goods and services at a regional level, in specific for Marketing & Sales categories with the primary focus on strategy creation and execution to deliver long term competitive advantage by maximizing value for money and protecting the business He/she will be playing an active role in the design of regional and/or global best practices and will be the functional representative in the region, ensuring best practices knowledge management and implementation. Must be able to sell in new concepts, approaches, and processes to executive leaders in simple way.
What are looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years of professional experience, ideally with supplier/customer/sales management experience and financial acumen.
- Media or Marketing experience is a must
- 5+ Years of Commercial /Media / Marketing / Digital / Sales
- Proven Track record negotiating large deals with high levels of complexity
- Fluent in English necessary, Fluent in Spanish necessary, Portuguese would be a complimentary attribute.
What will be your key responsibilities?
1- Develops and executes sourcing strategies using the MSSM framework and the appropriate tools for the market category (routine, leverage, bottleneck, critical)
2- Is an active member of the Global Category Team and establishes and maintains working relationship with the Category Buying Managers across all regions to drive benchmarking and best practices
3- Works collaboratively with Regional stakeholders for this category and other cross functional partners to develop and implement global standards.
4- Develops and implements Local and regional contracts, trade terms and related Service Level Agreements for Distributor Services (securing best Cost to service, price, volume rebates, capacity & service levels in line with the needs and commitments to the business).
5- Develops and maintains sustainable relationships with key suppliers and Distributors. Tracks, monitors and drives key supplier performance indicators across cost, service and quality and puts corrective actions in place, when needed. Acts as point of escalation
6- Establishes & maintains relationships with internal clients (such as Global Marketing & Sales Team, , Segment Marketing & Sales Directors, Regional & Global Directors, S&F, etc.) and their teams to ensure understanding of their needs and to facilitate the appropriate level of challenge.
7-Builds sourcing category expertise to provide market and financial insights and inputs to the operating plan process
8- Implements and complies with standard processes and tools to ensure responsible, continuous, and sustainable sourcing in line with commercial policies, systems and controls
