Job Description

  • Identify and implement best practices in procurement, commercial and vendor management.
  • Partner with business and functional leadership to understand short, medium and long-term third party requirements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies to shape and support delivery of the firm’s commercial and operational objectives
  • Assess and assist in the mitigation of vendor risk
  • Accountable for ensuring the EPCM contractor delivers procurement services in accordance with the project schedule requirement, client code of ethics and procurement processes.
  • Managing a team of external resources who will plan, source, evaluate award, expedite and manage logistics for projects.
  • Develop organizational capability to provide support for vendor engagement processes across divisions  

Accountable for the following scopes:

  • Manage Long Lead Equipment, Procurement, Tracking, Logistics, import requirements
  • Manage coordination of services between the Design Team, GC, and Sub-Contractor.
  • During the Design Phase, identify issues between the Design Teams drawings and Vendor Equipment 4. Drawings and manage differences, driving clear direction on most onerous requirements.
  • Identify issues with global equipment meeting local requirements.
  • Identify buildability issues to the Design Team up front, including safety-in design, spatial requirements, fire rating issues, future connectivity, and local standard compliance.
  • Arrange FAT Testing Certificates from each OFCI vendor.
  • Manage and Identify Risk Issues with each item, including time or cost impacts.
  • Manage on-site interfaces between services, and undertake a QA review of the Client Standards, identifying deviations or issues and resolving them.
  • Document lessons learned for future projects
  • Manage sub-contractor commissioning and testing of systems against the Equipment vendor commissioning and maintenance requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in any engineering discipline or equivalent
  • 10+ years' experience in related fields leading procurement / supply chain activities for new built projects in Asia.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities, including highly developed written communication, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Team player with excellent leadership and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiation, influence and persuade others
