Eaton’s Fuel Motion Control Group, a part of our Aerospace Division, is currently seeking a Procurement Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Grand Rapids, MI facility. Position Overview: This position is responsible for overseeing the purchase of all required commodities and services at the lowest possible cost while maintaining acceptable quality, delivery, and supplier performance. The Procurement Manager reports to the site Supply Chain Manager. The role will require individuals to be familiar with the complete range of strategic sourcing activities which includes the analysis of spend, the implementation of commodity strategies, the negotiation of contracts and the ongoing management of strategic supplier relationships (including Supplier Development). In this function you will: Implements commodity strategies in line with Corporate, Divisional, Site, SRM and Manufacturing initiatives to improve supply chain efficiencies and reduce the total cost of supply chain management. Manages commodity and implementation teams in delivering supply chain strategies within project timescales Drives savings initiatives in line with profit plan and overall business objectives for sub-commodity portfolio Monitors/reports on process improvement and cost-out projects Ensures appropriate performance measure (Quality, Cost and Delivery) of supply base and feedback of results Plan, coordinate and direct through subordinate personnel, the purchasing functions such as buying, value analysis, supplier management, and expediting. Administration of personnel policies and procedures. Ensure goals for cost reduction, delivery, qualified suppliers, etc. are accomplished Work with Material Control to meet inventory objectives for purchased production material. Provides leadership to the Procurement team by setting the strategy for the team and developing skill sets and building organizational capability. Coordinate with central Corporate Supply Chain Function to provide data and participate in teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton Corp. Support compliance initiatives and corporate commodity strategies to achieve synergy across the operation, including EBS Pull initiatives. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business related field or equivalent Minimum of three (3) years within Procurement and/or Supply Chain Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Preferred qualifications: Advanced degree preferred One year of supervisory experience Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic Strong PC application skills. Including complement of Microsoft Office Software Professional certifications (CPM, CPIM) considered a plus. Strong planning/project management skills.
