Position Description: Procurement Professional - Services As a Procurement Professional, this candidate will be responsible for sourcing various managed services according to Lenovo policy and best practices including negotiating procurement agreement terms to attain the highest quality at the best value with 3rd party service providers.  Establishes sourcing strategies to deliver optimum benefit to the services portfolio. Identifies new service provider sources and recommends cost saving proposals where appropriate.  Builds and maintains service provider relationships to drive superior service delivery in support of Services revenue generation. The candidate should have procurement experience and a general understanding of procurement practices #### Position Requirements: The candidate will be responsible for the following primary business areas: • Support to grow Services revenue generation and profit contribution through effective strategic sourcing, contracting and Service Provider management • Manage and optimize Lenovo’s spending with service providers, generating Procurement value-add (savings and cost-avoidance) for Lenovo; • Drive Customer Satisfaction (Serviceability) for our internal Lenovo executives and operations teams through service provider selection and engagement; • Follow established Business Controls surrounding sourcing, contracts, spending, and vendor management; • Drive best practices and transformation activities to ensure continuous improvement in strategic sourcing including RFQ generation, bid assessment, service provider selection, contract terms negotiation, service provider management and service delivery. Position Requirements The selected candidate should have the following abilities: • Analytics -- Perform competitive bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis and scenario modeling; • Problem solving – Ability to understand objectives, identify obstacles, initiative root cause analysis, mitigate risk, and develop and implement recommendations for alternative solutions; • Business maturity -- Ability to drive sound decision making, prepare and present business presentations, and summarize status to senior/executive leaders; • Industry Acumen – Knowledge and experience in indirect procurement (i.e.: operational efficiencies, cost modeling methodologies, performance optimization, etc.); • Team -- Ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and drive work successfully within a matrix team environment; • Independence - Ability to complete tasks and initiatives with a minimal amount of supervision; • Fact-seeking - Propensity to conduct appropriate research on Services being purchased in order to drive communicated strategy and benefit negotiations; • Project Management – Ability to prioritize activities and multi-task to achieve maximum benefit with good communication skills both written/verbal; • 3rd party contract drafting – Candidate will possess a high degree of efficiency and knowledge of Statement of Work commercial contract terms and the ability to draft alternative language to satisfy a negotiated Agreement between parties; • Negotiation Skills – Candidate must possess superior negotiating skills all levels of management including service providers using analytical and creative approaches to problem solving/resolution; • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint; • MBA or JD degree (not practicing) ideal but a BS or BA degree in Business or a related field required; • Multiyear experience in Procurement preferred and experience with 3rd party software sourcing is a plus; ***Mandarin language skills preferred*** We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
