We are currently looking for a motivated and proactive Procurement Specialist to join our Supply Chain Management team. Based in our Bayswater Head Office and reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Management, this role is rewarding and challenging, and provides a strong foundation of Siemens’ Supply Chain processes and systems on a cross-functional level. This role requires you to assist in implementing best in class strategies, methods, processes and systems to contribute to development and improvement of Supply Chain Management. To be considered for this role it is likely that you will have at least 2 years indirect procurement experience, ideally in IT, logistics or facilities, coupled with a relevant tertiary education. You will have the ability to analyse and solve problems in a timely manner, and have a passion for numbers and an eye for detail. Other duties will include: • Drive Strategic Procurement with accurate and timely information and data analysis. • Regular on time and accurate reporting on Key Performance Indicators for Strategic Procurement (indirect material) in Australia/New Zealand including savings and contract management. • A wider insight into Indirect Material for the ASEAN-Pacific Cluster focusing on comparisons between budget, actuals and forecast. • Provide training on relevant Procurement systems and processes to Procurement community. • Develop go to market strategies, and manage contract negotiations. Your ability to analyse and solve problems in a timely manner is key, as is working autonomously to achieve outcomes. The ability to effectively communicate information in oral and written form is essential.
