As a Procurement Specialist you will support Agilent's Order Fulfillment and Supply Chain organization, part of the Dako business group. In this role you will be responsible for the following:

 

  • Assurance of supply of materials, equipment and/or services, including maintaining appropriate inventory levels, with no disruption to production, and meeting all needs of the business
  • Material sourcing for existing products and new product introduction (NPI) projects
  • Purchase requisition/order creation and changes, including material releases, in an accurate and timely manner
  • Contribute to cost reduction efforts to reduce supply chain cost/cost of goods (COGS), while maintaining a continuing reliable source of supply
  • Meet all required ISO and regulatory (QMS) requirements, including supplier evaluation, reevaluation, and approval.
  • Negotiating cost of materials, and purchase terms and conditions as needed
  • Monitor supplier performance and take appropriate action with suppliers, including issuing of SCARs, to resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Support proactive approach to material disruption issues and escalate as needed
  • Disposition of non-conforming materials through management of material returns, reworks (re-qualify), and/or obtaining timely credits
  • Working with Quality, Engineering, Production, R&D to ensure appropriate and timely material availability, correct documentation, material specifications, NCRs, and Certificates of Analysis/Compliance
  • Assist accounting/finance with variance analysis as needed
  • Generation/maintenance of required reports and information
  • Follow documented Procurement Processes and Work Instructions and perform activities in support of supplier management processes and objectives
  • Maintain necessary records and files
  • Reconcile receiving and accounts payable problems
  • Meets regular Standard setting requirements
  • Set clear delivery expectations and manage to these expectations
  • Communicate material forecasting to suppliers
  • Expedite deliveries as needed to ensure continual flow of materials
  • Support Agilent's Supplier Performance Measurement Process and work with suppliers to drive continuous performance improvement, responsible for contributing to or leading continuous improvement efforts
  • Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with suppliers and colleagues
  • Effectively communicate Agilent requirements and business needs
  • Responsible to contribute to or lead compliance initiatives
