Purpose of the position
— As one of procurement managers in STA to lead the global low cost sourcing activities for technical products by developing supplier base in target low cost area and developing new products with competitive cost to support business at specific market

Principal responsibilities
Responsible for
— Identify proper product needs with global marketing/ operations/ procurement and set up supply strategy
— Consolidate global purchase volume to achieve saving through low cost sourcing for defined products
— Lead whole sourcing procedure from supplier development, inquiry, contract negotiation, process qualification with collaboration with global technical authority or product management
— Assign the qualified supplier & products to countries buyers
— Manage the quality at suppliers through process sampling, production, inspection and correct action plan if quality issue happens
— Manage the suppliers on production planning, PO execution and on-time shipment
— Audit suppliers on sustainability of supplying Linde business

— Align low cost sourcing activities among global/OS/RBU/country procurement strategy

— Increase purchase vs. reduce supplier base
— Control the cost of suppliers for long term cooperation while material price rising

— Proficiency with technical specification, standards and application of technical products
— Well Knowledge of Asia/ China supply market for technical products
— Knowledge of sourcing process, international trading procedure and logistic solution
— Knowledge of international trading policy and terms

Required qualifications/experience
— 8+ year working experience at manufacturing companies, engineering or technical experience is plus
— At least 2 years working experience in gases company or relevant industry
— 2+ years sourcing/ procurement management experience
— 3+ years supplier quality manager experience, 6 sigma certificated is plus
— Engineering education background
