Job Description

Position Summary:

The Product Applications Specialist is responsible for producing compelling scientific and technical data to support the promotion of our LC columns portfolio. They will have knowledge of how to design, carryout and report experiments which highlight our products and workflows by utilizing our whole portfolio of consumables. They will support our Technical, Product Management, Product Marketing, R+D and Commercial teams in their goals by having knowledge of customer pain points, current applications and workflows and through providing recommendations of columns and consumables to solve analytical challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Creation of experimental data with new and existing HPLC and LC-MS hardware/software to evaluate customer readiness according to defined requirements and with a strong focus on understanding customer application within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Planning and execution of experimental competitive analysis of HPLC consumables at applications level to support product positioning in general and in vertical markets, constant review and internal communication on competitors’ application literature.
  • Creation of application and related collateral (Application Notes, Application Briefs, Technical Notes, White Papers,) on new and established HPLC products in collaboration with Marcom, management of related AppsLab entries, coordination of deployment and use to drive business growth in collaboration with Product Marketing.
  • Work in cross-functional teams with product management, product marketing, vertical marketing and R&D in NPDI projects.
  • Strong focus on worldwide customer interaction to gather information (Voice of Customer), on customer support and education (where relevant) and to build networks.
  • General laboratory inventory maintenance and consumables feed organization to ensure the safety, efficiency, and result quality.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • BSc or Master in Analytical Chemistry or other relevant similar disciplines.
  • At least 2 years of practical LC-UV or LC-MS experience in clinical, pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical applications.
  • Experienced in planning experiments and presentation of scientific results
  • Pro-active personality with an organized working style
  • Ability to work in a cross functional global team
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to complete multiple projects with tight timelines
  • Good knowledge of chromatography theory is desired
  • Experience in instrument good practice and maintenance
