Siemens Smart Infrastructure is looking for an enthusiastic and driven IoT & Building Automation Engineer for our Product Portfolio Building Automation business to provide technical expertise to the business and support the go-to market strategy and value proposition for our applications, IoT and Edge solutions. More specifically, you will be responsible for our technical solutions and applications throughout the product lifecycle. Your scope of responsibility applies mainly to our tools (customer/service, design, programming), IoT and edge solutions. A particular emphasis will be put on the IT and cybersecurity aspects of our solutions as well. You will work closely with our Head Quarters in Switzerland/Zug as well as with technical and portfolio colleagues. Next to that, you will partner with distributors, resellers, partners, and end customers to strengthen our product offerings and applications. Your journey kicks off with intensive training on our product portfolio and their features. This will enable you to take up the following responsibilities: Developing and maintaining your product knowledge and expertise. Keeping up to date with trends and innovations in the IoT/Edge Building Automation market, understanding competitors and emerging technologies. Preparing and organizing rollout, lifecycle activities and training sessions. Supporting customers (internal and external) in resolving technical problems, investigating the root cause of problems, and recommending smart solutions. Promoting your products during events, customer demos, Teams presentations etc. Exploring new ways of improving existing working methods. Providing product training to users and colleagues. Curious to know if you are the colleague we’re looking for? We are looking for driven, passionate and engaged people with a passion for technology. This is regardless of your background and experience. You can bring the following to the table: Bachelor or Master in Electronics, Computer Sciences, (Applied) IT or equivalent experience. You have adequate knowledge and experience in the field of IT and OT Building Automation solutions, as well as from (mesh) networks, communication protocols, IoT, cloud and cybersecurity. Proficiency in one or more of the following is an asset; Zigbee, Thread, Matter, Mqtt, Lora, Cybersecurity standards (IEC62443). You are proficient in the adoption of innovative technologies and are eager to step into the unknown. You have an analytical and commercial, as well as a conceptually and solution-oriented mindset. Your creativity enables you to influence people. You are fluent in Dutch, French and English. Willingness to improve one of these languages – if needed – in time is mandatory.
