PLM Product Architect for Digital Transformation of DoD Service Engineering Position Overview Siemens Government Technologies (SGT) Digital Industries (DI) is a dynamic and rapidly growing organization, and we are seeking a highly motivated individual to complement our growing team. As a Product Architect on Services Delivery team, you will be in a leadership role responsible for transitioning legacy service engineering tools and processes to leverage current industry best practices and state-of-the-art technologies. This is accomplished by envisioning, designing, and building capabilities and processes that facilitate the adoption of Siemens products. You will operate as a trusted advisor utilizing your extensive experience and expertise with Siemens’s software products to provide guidance and direction to the customer, enabling the adoption of model-centric business practices and helping them achieve their digital transformation goals. As part of the Services Delivery team, you will work with Solution Architects, Infrastructure Architects, Project and Program Managers, GTAC, Product Development and Product Management, and the customer’s subject matter experts (SMEs) and administrators to ensure project and customer success. Responsibilities Understand the customer’s goals and objectives, and identify change initiatives to make the customer more efficient and productive using Siemens PLM products Leverage industry best practices and Siemens defined templates for the solution to be delivered Analyze the customer’s existing technology stack, business processes and data constructs used for sustainment of serialized assets Prepare functional and nonfunctional requirement specifications Perform fit-gap assessments and process reengineering activities Prepare and direct customer workshops to clarify business requirements and review proposed solutions Support the creation of a solution strategy and technical approach Review design specifications for technical accuracy and completeness Define and document use cases Participate in the solution validation, including preparing and executing test plans and test cases, preparing test data, and confirming traceability back to requirements Provide advice on approaches for data migration or integration to legacy systems Work with business SMEs, system and applications administrators, and Siemens’ support organization to troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues Set and manage stakeholders’ expectations, demonstrating thought leadership to effectively influence key contacts Support project management activities to control the scope, cost, schedule, and quality of the project Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Minimum 5 years’ experience in large capital asset sustainment projects, including configuration management for serialized and non-serialized items; creation, management and installation of modification kits; creation and use of Technical Orders / Time Compliant Technical Orders, Illustrated Parts Breakdown, Technical Data Packages, Work Instructions, and Inspection Requirements, Minimum 5 years’ experience with aircraft maintenance processes, preferable for military aircraft Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, etc.), Computer Science or other science and technology program, or equivalent years of relevant experience (8+ years) in design, engineering, manufacturing, logistics, data management Minimum 5 years of experience supporting logistics, maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing processes of large capital assets Minimum 5 years of experience implementing or using Siemens PLM solutions or similar PLM products or enterprise logistics systems Strong understanding of concepts and principles, technologies and solutions used in Siemens PLM software Technical leadership skills and proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex issues to internal and customer stakeholders and all levels Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Strong understanding of processes and data for managing Bill-of-Materials (BOM) or Integrated Part Breakdown (IPB) Strong understanding of Enterprise Change Management (ECM) Strong understanding of Engineering Technical Assistance Requests (ETAR), including USAF Form 107 / Form 202 Strong understanding of processes and data for Service Engineering, including Technical Orders and Time Compliance Technical Orders Strong understanding of Service Plans or Bill-of-Process Experience performing process reengineering and transitioning organizations to new and improved processes and technologies Intermediate knowledge of infrastructure and database systems Ability to effectively communicate progress and status to internal and external customers Ability to articulate and promote solutions to complex issues, and drive acceptance with confidence Ability to work independently, as well as on a team Ability to direct others in accountability, collaboration, effective communication, and have a strategic mindset that develops talent Proficient with standard MS Office applications, such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. Security Clearance United States citizen with no dual citizenship, ties to another country, foreign passports, or visas Ability to obtain a Secret Level U.S Government Security Clearance Work Location or Travel Must reside within daily commuting distance of customer’s location in Layton UT, or be willing to travel to Layton UT to work on-site at least 50% of time Organization: Country Functions & Departments Company: Siemens Government Technologies, Inc.
