Job Description
Act as part of a Professional Services team, work productively with Consultants, Solution Architects, Project Managers, and other internal and external interfaces such as Industry and Product Development teams to ensure the customer succeeds in their objectives. Responsible for providing specialist product expertise by consulting, advising, recommending, designing, and, where appropriate deploying specific technical solutions in own area of specialism for standard projects in-country, leveraging relevant best practices and templates for the Siemens DI Software solution to be delivered successfully and provide value to the customer. Support project/program management activities to control scope, cost, schedule, and quality in line with program and project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations, and support customer adoption. Leads the architectural design elements in own area of specialist product domain solutions to address business requirements. May act as project technical work stream lead for specific project workstreams on small to medium projects requiring a full-time specialist resource, supporting project management activities such as estimating, work package breakdown, and project planning and monitoring. Provide input to Product Development in creating the product roadmap and influence the design of new product functionality and industry solutions in his area of product specialization. In line with project processes and messaging, interact with the customer to support the management of customer expectations and support customer adoption. Works under self-management within projects of basic to moderate scope and/ or task constraints and will provide input to define solutions, methods, and procedures on assignments. Provides guidance and mentoring on the design, configuration, configuration, and deployment of standard technical solutions to Implementation Consultants and Associate Consultants for own area of specialism. Actively participate in Country Communities of Practice, in own area of specialist knowledge, and contribute to the definition of new, and maintenance of existing, best practices and templates, providing experiences to support continual improvement. This will work directly with the customer to provide both mentoring and engineering services in Advanced and Compliant Variation Analysis (VSA) supporting the Dimensional Variation Analysis (DVA) process. This position will also act as a liaison between the customer and VSA product management in the collaboration regarding new technology and evolution of the current solution. • Deliver high quality production studies that meets or exceeds customer expectations • Deliver comprehensive mentoring in VSA techniques within the customer’s organization increasing the knowledge base of the extended team • Develop methodology to optimize the utilization of VSA increasing value to the customer • Contribute to the alignment of future technology to real world customer use cases • Understand the alignment of PLM to the VSA process and guide the customer to optimize utilization Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college, preferably with software engineering background, Advanced Degree may be substituted for industry experience Experience in the technical leadership of large software implementation projects Automotive manufacturing experience Excellent presentation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to present sophisticated issues to multi-level audiences and effectively communicate progress, status and issues to internal and external Customers. Proven team leadership skills Advanced knowledge of Siemens VSA software suite including FEA and Flex modeling. Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing / assembly methods and related industry standards. Location: Any Major Midwest or Eastern U.S. City Expected Travel requirements: 5% The total cash compensation range for this position is $101,000 to $202,000 with 20% of this being comprised of an annual incentive target. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
