1. Develop new products and customize existing products from conceptualization to final production including initial research, benchmarking, feasibility studies, testing, design, prototyping, and completion of engineering documentation. To accomplish this, this role will work in a cross-functional team environment and will need to interface with the sales & marketing teams and customers.

2. Oversee product development process from design feasibility construction through prototype and production tooling, and the implementation of assembly procedure and in-process inspection, and evaluate and verify design integrity and validate all requirements.

3. Provide drawings, timelime and general development support to the commercialization manager. This role is responsible for maintaining product development deliverables as well as holding other team members accountable for their deliverables.

4. Effectively cooperate with all areas including materials, manufacturing, and quality.

5. Must have a working knowledge of tooling and manufacturing launch details in order to be a technical resource to the customer as well as communicate the customer’s expectation for quality, cost and timing back to the project team

6. Communicate with external and internal customers to ensure that present and future needs are met or exceeded.

7. Develop timelines and AFEs.

8. Create detailed specifications that provide manufacturing with key information needed to produce the product commercially.

9. Lead cross functional activities to ensure the project on right track, and prepare and give updates to related teams on regular basis.

Requirements：

1. The position requires BS in Plastics Engineering or other similar engineering such as Mechanical / /Manufacturing Engineering and a minimum 5 plus years of product design, project management experience, and tooling development.

2. Must be proficient using 3D modeling software (Unigraphics is preferable).

3. The individual must be a hands-on self- starting team player with a solid working knowledge in the fundamentals of plastics and its processing, primarily injection molding, and Fluid Mechanics.

4. Must be able to work within and meet aggressive deadlines.

5. Candidate must be detail oriented, have solid organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking and have strong written and oral communication skills.

6. Must be willing to travel. This postion will be based in Shanghai. Frequent travel to our plant in Wuxi and to customers will be required.

7. Prior experience on project commercialization is desirable, and assembly automation is a plus.

8. Prior experience with dispensing is a plus

9. Prior experience in the Beauty and Personal Care market segment is desireable

10. A history of granted patents is a plus
