BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Product Development Engineer will take lead or assist with the design and development of new products and the improvement of existing products. Oversee all the development stage to production process to ensure the production efficiency and on time delivery.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for the overall design, analysis, documentation and functional validation of mechanical components and assemblies;
• Conduct CAD/product review and generate review report
• Perform troubleshooting and root causes analysis for engineering failures/issues
• Prepare technical documents including product specification, BOM, engineering changes
• Support team to conduct the DFMEA and generate follow up action plan
• Conduct design of experiments (DOE’s), and analysis of data using statistical tools and evaluation of variable factors

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Degree/ High Diploma in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline;
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering related major is required
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in product development with consumer electronic goods
• Hands-on Knowledge on DOE, DFMEA, SPC
• Familiar with CAD tools
• Familiar with Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Good English skills in written and verbal
