Job Description
A word leading merchandising and manufacturing company is looking for a Product Development Manager to join their team.
Key responsibilities:
Supervise and guide a team of Engineer to handle the technical operations
Provide effective supervision on daily operation of Engineering team and ensure the sample flow in a timely manner. Set goals and organize subordinates to accomplish them on time.
Develop subordinates to reach a higher potential and recognize their ability and strength. Train technical staff in all furniture production techniques and enhance their quality level.
Review samples for construction, specification, quality and safety before they are sent to clients.
Attend sample making and pre-production meetings and make recommendations.
Identify current problems, foresee pitfalls and advise resolution to subordinates to maintain smooth workflow.
Coordinate with other departments like Project, Production and Quality to ensure smooth workflow.
Manage both internal and external parties such as team, customers and suppliers to meet the technical requirement of the project
Develop engineering process for organization to ensure high quality of products
Plan and review the overall technical aspects, equipment and facilities and propose recommendations for improvement
Responsible for overall quality, schedule, budget, quotations, resources & risk management control and monitoring for projects
To produce, review, comment and or update Retailer CAD drawings and 3D renderings as assigned by the client.
To maintain CAD and 3D files in a library.
Assist the project team with any relevant CAD requests.
Responsible for design and drafting of construction drawings for display projects
Review drawing for construction and specification before they are sent to US headoffice

Key requirements
High Diploma/Bachelor degree or above in Engineering or related disciplines
Good command of English and Mandarin
At least 10 years’ related working experience in display Furniture with 3 years’ experience in a managerial position. Previous exposure in manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
Experience in on-site & fitting out work & luxury retail shop are highly desirable
Strong technical knowledge in Furniture products.
Strong problem solving and analytical ability
Strong communication skills and have the ability to interact with others like vendors, and clients.
Proficient in Autocad, MS Office & MS Project
Ability to work independently
Willing to work overtime and under pressure
Good freehand perspective and presentation skills
