Job Description
Job Title: Product Engineer Organization/Division: Commercial Vehicle Valve Actuation - Pre-development and Pursuit Location: Turin HQ, Italy Job Summary: With the upcoming and very stringent Euro VII emission legislations aimed at reducing CO2 and NOx emissions, Commercial Vehicle OEMs need to rely more and more on Variable Valve Actuation technology. Cylinder Deactivation (CDA), Late Intake Valve Closing (LIVC) and Early Exhaust Valve Opening (EEVO) are currently considered key technologies to achieve the upcoming emission levels for commercial engines, targeting their introduction on new engine platforms by 2027 globally. Combined with constantly increasing Engine Brake power requirements, upcoming variable valvetrain technologies make up for a very exciting new product development landscape. As a Product Engineer you will join Pre-development or Pursuit programs with challenging timelines and tough technical requirements. Importantly, you will: - be part of a multi-cultural and cross-functional team - create designs, run analysis and testing activities - drive and complete project activities from prototype procurement and testing to high-volume industrialization - work with key OEMs in Europe and outside of Europe - track activities and report progress to the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager Qualifications Education Level required: Master Degree in Mechanical engineering Years and area of experience required: 1 to 3 years of experience in product development Technical knowledge: Product design, technical drawing emission, combustion engines Soft skills: Work in team, work in multicultural environment, report out to management What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
