Responsibilities: As Design Implementation’s Library Platform product engineer (PE), you will be working with RD to define and develop library technology for the Design Implementation products. You will be working with semiconductor foundries and libraries providers to develop library PDKs and library kits for Synopsys Design Implementation tools/products. You are the interface between the BU and key customers, the field technical support organization. As Library Platform expert, you will work closely with R&D, marketing and our customers to help drive library technology development and acceptance. Duties include writing product requirements/specifications from user’s point of view, managing beta testing, developing and delivering training materials

Requirements: Position requires a minimum of 3-5 years of industry experience in Semiconductor, logic design, library characterization or library development. Experience/knowledge in circuit topology, logic synthesis, place and route, timing/power analysis, and circuit simulation are desirable. Person must be conversant with UNIX and fluent in C++, Tcl or Perl scripting. Good communication/presentation skills and ability to interface with customers and other business unit personnel is essential. Prior experience with industry’s Liberty, LEF, DEF, Verilog, GDS/OASIS is a plus. Some occasional travel is required
