Bentley Systems is seeking a Product Engineer / Subject Matter Expert for its STAAD Tower team in Kolkata, India office. We are looking for a structural engineer with substantial experience in analyzing tower structures using different standards and practices.

 

Responsibilities

 

• Write technical design specifications for tower analysis and design.
   
• Work collaboratively with software developers to help them understand complex engineering calculations and processes. Develop algorithms to translate engineering knowledge to a software program.
   
• GAP Analysis with other competitive software

 

• Providing expert-level engineering support, specialty engineering services, and training to our client base.

 

• Quality assurance through rigorous testing, calculations verification, benchmarking etc.

 

 

Qualifications 

 

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering is required and a master’s degree is preferred
   
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on tower analysis experience

 

• Experience in structural analysis on existing telecom/transmission tower structures to determine their structural capacity/rating.

   

• Experience in designing and producing drawings for tower modifications or reinforcement of overstressed tower structures.
   
• Knowledge of foundation design and load generation on tower due to the wind and seismic activities are a must. Knowledge of mount analysis is preferred.

 

• In-depth Knowledge of different methods of structural analysis, including Static Analysis, P- Delta Analysis, Non-Linear Cable Analysis.

   

• Knowledge of structural detailing is preferred

   

• Knowledge of transmission line design is a bonus.
