We are looking for a new colleague to join our Quality Team as a Product Environmental Compliance Engineer, focusing on activities to ensure that our products remain compliant with the relevant regulations and standards. You will act as an environmental subject matter expert to define, direct, and verify environmental compliance. Your key responsibilities: The ownership and coordination of activities to ensure that our products remain compliant with the relevant regulations and standards. This includes to: Manage RoHS 3, REACH, SCIP & other substance data gathering, compliance and regulation changes Follow changes on regulatory requirements in EMEA Manage Eaton fulfilling environmental product compliance requirements in EMEA Develop & support ProLaunch DfE Managing LCA for new products Coordinate responsibilities with Product Stewardship CoE Supports environmental aspect for all new product development projects & product EOL Gives support to product marketing and sales on environmental aspects Generating routine compliance reports for authorities Responsible of customer inquiries on material compliance declarations Qualifications Desired: A M.Sc. or B.Sc. in electrical engineering, environmental engineering, or other relevant field of study Basic knowledge of power electronics 2-3y experience in international regulatory/compliance processes & organizations Strong technical knowledge and skills implementing and complying with e.g. REACH Regulation, RoHS, WEEE, Battery, and Packaging Directives Able to work independently to drive things forward with good teamwork skills Systematic and analytical problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to manage large amounts of data using different tools such as Excel Pivot tables and SAP Good communication, information organization, and task management skills Strong networker, providing expert assistance to colleagues Conscious in working with strictly confidential information Fluent written and spoken communication skills in English and in Finnish What Eaton offers: Contract in fast growing global company Excellent working environment – safety and ethic are really important for us Culture & Values – We are more than the products we invent and produce – the way we do business is just as important.
