The Power team is currently seeking a Product Evaluation Engineer to work on the development of new product solutions in the area of power electronic semiconductors (switching power supplies, PMICs and LED drivers). The successful candidate will become an integral part of the product development team, assuming responsibility for developing innovative, high performance, hardware and software measurement solutions for our leading-edge product portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Debug, evaluation and characterization of prototype silicon, including creation of eval/char plans, data collection & analysis and generating/presenting technical reports.
- Development of innovative bench evaluation systems with aspects of mechanical, PCB and lab bench setup design.
- Robustness testing including latch-up, Abs Max Ratings, POR testing, etc.
- Interface with Design, Product, Assembly, Application and Test Development Engineers as part of an overall product development team.
- Cooperate with QA department performing root cause analysis and present your results in a clear, concise format.
Requirements:
- Understand Power Electronics
- A strong knowledge of laboratory test equipment, Analog and Digital Electronics, be self-motivated, willing to accept responsibility, and show initiative in identifying and solving challenging technical problems:
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong computer program development and data management skills, or affinity to learn.
- Good knowledge of HW and SW measurement techniques, or affinity to learn.
- Strong logic and mathematics skills.
- PCB layout/design experience or affinity to learn.
- Strong teamwork, inter-personal and communication skills are essential, including the ability to listen and fairly consider inputs from teammates.
- Flexibility and willingness to learn any skill or technology as needs arise to do the job.
