Job Description
Eaton is looking for a Product Line Manager at our Porto Feliz - plant to join our team. She/He will be responsible for: This position has as primary function to develop, plan, manage, and control Power Systems Product line programs and tactical activities in Brazil focus on Electrical Utilities domestic market as well as leverage support to export sales through sister organizations in LATAM and other regions outside Americas. This position holds the responsibilities of sales, new product development (NPD), new product introduction (NPI) and support the local product approval in Utilities (AVL’s - Approval vendor list process), technical application and quotations of Power System products in Brazil. Responsibilities are driven by supporting the market with appropriate products, services, offering, and profitability aligned with Operations and Finance goals focus on increase customer satisfaction and organic growth. Job Responsibilities: •Manages overall Power Systems Brazil product offering, profitability and price acting in actions plans to get it aligned with annual profit plan and long-term Strategic plan •Executes NPI (new product introduction) and NPD (new product development) plans aiming to full fill product, service and offering local gaps focus on having a comprehensive Roadmap with proper vision of the future connected with company plans •Develops the local offering for Power Systems focus on Utilities application •Product Line Margin management, Profit & Loss analysis, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering and sales to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met; Evaluate and propose cost reduction for the product lines •Tracks and analyze local competition environment to support overall next step action plans aiming to position the company as number 1 player on the focus markets. •Supports sales and technical applications teams including product approvals, presentation, webinars, marcom, etc. •Visit customers to identify opportunities (VOC) to guide the strategy plans •Creates relationship and good level of communication with sister organizations and sourcing plants aiming to participate in the overall product Roadmap and act as facilitator along the sales and operational activities •Develop and deliver trainings for sales, customer services, application engineering and customers •Create and manage product information in MRP system •Identify, plan, and execute growth initiative plans •Collateral development for product lines •Provide timely technical response to the customers and internal department When we embrace different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds, each of us becomes unique. Qualifications Experience required for the position: • Electrical Engineering Degree • Technical and commercial Knowledge in Power Systems Utilities market • Marketing management knowledge on market evaluation, competition, price definition, product lifecycle management, etc. • Basic financial understanding of profit margins, markup, P&L and landing factors (Foreign Trade) • Project management knowledge • Strong negotiation skills • Strong verbal articulation, presentation, and written communication skills • Operational level knowledge on SAP system • Fluent English • Spanish intermediary level • Availability to travel domestic and international • Digital Mindset orientated Preferred/Additional Specialized Knowledge (not required to be qualified for position): • Technical knowledge on competitor’s product portfolio • Technical and Commercial presentation for high qualified people #LI-AM4 What you will get from us Eaton’s mission is to improve the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management technologies and services.
