The Crouse Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas (CBO) division is part of Eaton’s global electrical sector and has over 100 years of experience in enhancing efficiency, safety and reliability for our customers. The Signalling, HMI and GAS product portfolio centres on life safety critical alarm, signal, control and notification equipment with a range of products specifically designed for harsh environmental conditions and where there is a risk of explosion both offshore and onshore. The product lines are of key strategic importance, supporting Eaton's digitalisation and energy transition focus. Influence is key, in order to develop comprehensive digital product strategies that elevate our positioning, excite our customers and enhance our brand across the globe. As a Product Line Manager you will be responsible for delivering growth and profitability on these product lines within the HAC & MTL organisation & Devices product group. You will lead a direct team of three geographically located product line managers, each focusing on specific products within the scope of the range - collaborating across the various business units and manufacturing plants globally. You will need to work closely with Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and finance. Your main responsibilities: Driving growth for product line business in core and diversified markets by defining new opportunities and delivering on strategic and tactical plans to turn new opportunities into profitable business growth. Lead a program of Voice of the Customer for core and new markets, accumulate market knowledge of key targeted sub-segments, identify attractive Use Cases with critical customer values and related competitive offerings. Guide the product development roadmap with focus on connectivity, design, and cybersecurity innovations to guide key technology projects from the specification of market requirements to the launch and post launch of new products. Developing an integrated strategic marketing plan to optimise our impact in the marketplace, working with local and central marketing teams on new campaigns. Understanding competitive offerings and position designated products appropriately for maximum impact. The PLM will continually monitor global business conditions, including regulatory and advisory bodies and suggest ways to adapt to them to ensure a competitive market position. Developing an appropriate supply chain and operations strategy for the portfolio of products in cooperation with GPLM lead and other regional leaders to meet business objectives Champion a balanced scorecard and holistic approach to growing the product line across multiple generations and creating engaging customer experiences. Qualifications Your essential skills we are looking for: Should be Degree qualified in an appropriate field of expertise such as Business or Technology for example, or have proven relevant experience. Further post-graduate qualifications such as an MBA would also be desirable Minimum of five years commercial experience in industrial product lines - ideally working for multi-national companies Desirable experience with End users and/or Engineering and Procurement Contractors, System Integrators, Fire & Gas OEM's with a proven track record in understanding their activities from front end design to project execution will be a major help to this role.
