Position Overview Participate in determining the future of the world's leading medium-voltage drive, SINAMICS Perfect Harmony by ensuring the top tier market position of SINAMICS Perfect Harmony. Lead and support various Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) activities, throughout the life of the product. You will work with global teams in the US, Germany, and China to determine the direction of the product line. This position reports to the Director of Product Management. Responsibilities The Product Manager coordinates and supports the interdisciplinary product-related Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) activities to attain the best possible product result and to optimize the product’s market position and financial return across its life cycle. Develop an intimate knowledge of global customer needs and competitors, identify global market trends and drivers, and formulate and execute a strategic marketing plan. Demonstrate a deep understanding of customers worldwide, develop good technical knowledge of all products and services, and a detailed understanding of the global marketplace. Acquire global customer requirements and product specifications via market research activities, market analysis, and ongoing communication with global marketing and sales Build key documents to enable successful development of product Interact with cross-functional project team of engineering, quality, sales, and marketing to develop impactful product launches. In your entry-level role you will be working with other product managers and support or lead activities related to product maintenance and product enhancements after product release activities to improve EBIT situation of product, e.g., through cost reduction efforts product marketing and the creation of content for pre-sales activities like catalogs, sales tools, engineering manuals product related market and competitor analyses coordination of PLM efforts between all Siemens location that manufacture the product, through the Global Change Control and Limit of Authority processes Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Skills in MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required. Ability to synthesize market and customer feedback and existing and new products into new product ideas and solutions - Ability to quickly grasp technical contexts and acquire knowledge in a technical field Proven communication skills and ability to influence colleagues Some experience in either of the following fields is an advantage: lean and agile development processes and methods variable speed drives technology and applications sales, product management or marketing in an industrial B2B business area At Siemens, we are committed to an ownership culture, in which every employee takes personal responsibility for our company’s success.
