Your role
As “Product Manager Solid State Lasers” you will be responsible for the product portfolio of cw solid state lasers in China. You will support our Industrial Sales and work on Integrators / develop Co-Operation Partners and End Customers / Operators. You will work closely with our Sales teams, and Marketing and Communication, as well as the central Product Management department in our German headquarter. With regular visits at end-customers’ sites, exhibitions as well as desktop researches you will observe and analyze the laser market and competitors. Tasks are (~70% share):
Product support
Responsibility for New Product Introduction
Co-ordination of market preparation activities for new products
Configuration software E2Q / technical configuration, product features
Product documentation, information - Identify new or upcoming product requirements
Sales Support
Developing and realizing of argumentation guidelines
Training of sales engineers / acting as multiplier of central trainings
Product consultation
Project specific support and co-ordination (case wise)
Management of local special sales projects
Local pricing strategies for your products
Integrator Development
Product training (incl. technical integration)
Marketing Support
Support marketing activities
Joining internal /external events
Market observation
Competitor analysis, i.e., companies, products
Price history
Further task is (~30% share) On-site support of end-customers / operators of cw solid state lasers
Regular visiting of end-customers, reporting of the visits (customer situation, wishes, competition information etc.
Suggestions for improvements / optimization
Support to complete other tasks assigned from the immediate supervisor per business requirement
Your profile
Bachelor Degree or higher or experience in relevant area
Majored in Laser technology
More than 3 years experience in the field of lasers as sales or service engineer is preferred
Continuous wave solid state lasers (at least one product series of TruDisk, TruDiode, or TruFiber)
Theoretical background and hands on experience for laser welding, cutting or brazing.
Native Chinese and fluent in English
Team player, independent worker, fast learner, willingness for high travel frequency
