YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role, Product Manager, are to:

• Work in partnership with other Product Managers, Business Architects and Software Engineering to prioritize deliverables specific to your products;
• Build a product vision that supports our strategic direction;
• Schedule and run relevant agile ceremonies – such as stand up, backlog grooming and demos;
• Maintain a product backlog of well-written user stories that accurately reflect the needs of our users;
• Maintain product roadmaps that are informed by business priorities and technical estimates;
• Partner with Software Engineering and Usability to create high quality, efficient and scalable solutions that will delight our end users;
• Maintain relationships with Product Managers in other organizations to track dependencies;
• Seek out opportunities to grow product management skills as well as product domain knowledge;
• Represent your product to end users as the “go to” person for knowledge;
• Represent your product to organizational leadership;
• Work with software team, Delivery, Solutions and others to track progress and coordinate product releases;
• Identify process gaps and inefficiencies;
• Utilize and advocate for the use of product management best practices to improve delivery.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related field;
• Strong written and verbal communications skills;
• At least three years of experience in two or more of the following areas:
  • Product and Project Management;
  • Delivery of enterprise-class software solutions;
  • Agile software delivery;
  • Experience tying product deliverables to a broader business strategy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Agricultural or biotech domain experience;
• Familiar with Software Development Lifecycle;
• Experience delivering cloud-based software.
