Role

Product Manager for Hematology in Amgen, is the Brand owner at country level and ensures initiation and effective implementation of brand-building activities to exceed sales and market share targets. Development of beyond-the-molecule solutions to ease access of the patients to the right treatment is also a focus area.

Product Manager will report to Business Unit Manager Oncology & Hematology

Brand ownership at country level

 

  • Execute the Brand Planning process at country level following Global guidance
  • Implement the marketing activity plan based on the annual plan.
  • Deliver and follow-up branding campaigns in line with international guidance and local regulations - develop optimizations plans based on data analysis and tracking of country brand KPIs.

Finance
 

  • Responsible for budget management for assigned brands.
  • Input to sales forecasting and monthly reporting (SOM, monthly executive summary).
  • Contribution to budget and target processes.
     

Successful Candidate

  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience in innovative companies with proven track record of achievements gained with brands targeting specialists.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the pharma industry
  • Strong analytical skills expressed by ability to interpret data and use them as a base for business solutions and recommendations; basics in Finance (P&L understanding).
  • Ability to work and engage within a cross-functional team.
  • High resilience and pro-active approach in managing challenging situations.
  • Fluent in English and Romanian.
  • University degree
  • Strong integrity and ethics
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

Previous relevant experience in Hematology area is ideal.

Detailed Job responsibilities

• Drives motivation of sales force towards brand aspiration (cycle and launch meetings)

• Develops and implements Country Brand Plan in full congruence with International Brand Plan

• Designs and executes promotional activities (detail aids, message scripts, advertising, congresses, etc.) in line with international branding and key messages

• Develops Long Range Plan with Business Planner

• Proposes national sales target and achieves agreement with Business Unit Leader and Sales/District Managers

• Partners with international  PMs

• Translates/implements international brand campaign locally

• Analyses market research & data and develops action plans

• Coordinates competitive intelligence and drives competitive action plans

• Partners with the Medical Affairs Manager to optimize the brand performance (e.g. goals of clinical trials, KOL development, etc.)

• Agrees with other PM in Franchise Team on joint projects

• Recruits and manages external vendors needed

• Identifies business opportunities and develops business cases to address them
