Job Description

The Assistant Product Manager assists in the development and implementation of marketing activities for the purpose of maximizing product line sales and profitability. The Assistant Product Manager works closely with the Marketing Team to create a comprehensive and integrated product and procedure strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES):
? Assists in the development and implementation of the marketing plan based on the business plan strategy and a thorough understanding of competitive products, customer preferences and market dynamics.
? Works with cross-functional team members to participate in the development of long-term marketing strategies.
? Works with Marketing Team members to communicate marketing plans, and to support marketing efforts on new product development teams to ensure new product introductions are consistent with longer term product line strategies.
? Compiles data for analysis of local market trends, competition and customer needs using company data, available customer data and personal/team knowledge.
? Assists in managing the transition of projects from Product Development to Marketing.
? Supports the Field Sales Organization on product line inquiries.
? Provides appropriate product information to the Field Sales Organization, including technical data and product availability information.
? Works with the Clinical and Professional Education Teams to create product education presentation materials for Sales Mastery classes.
? Conducts presentations for key customer visits.
? Trains the Professional Education Team on key information.
? Assists in developing and analyzing annual sales forecasts, market share trends, procedure trends, adoption rates, delivery alternatives and product line objectives.
? Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience
? Minimum of 5 years’ B2B experience within a Marketing, Business Development, Engineering, Sales or Clinical role.
? Product management experience required.
? Medical device experience preferred, but not required.
Education
? Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or related field equivalent required.
General Skills/Competencies/Specialized Knowledge

Travel
? Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time; both domestic and international travel is required
? Typical work related travel assignments range 1-3 days, and as such overnight, out-of-town stays are required
