Position Summary:

 

We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our Building Design team. As a Product Manager you will be responsible for architectural and structural areas of our Building Design portfolio.

 

The ideal candidate will monitor industry trends, identify opportunities, and work closely with our product development teams to continually drive innovation. You will need to work with cross-functional teams, understand what is needed to build and market products, and leverage your technical skills and industry background to influence Bentley's Building Design offerings.

 

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

  • Conduct market research to identify and validate business cases
  • Facilitate User Guided Development initiatives with strategic customers to identify market opportunities and gaps to be addressed.
  • Contribute to product strategy and define and prioritize the roadmap.
  • Coordinate and drive key priorities both within the Building Design team and across other departments to expedite time to market.
  • Define software development specifications and manage backlog priorities against the available capacity of team members.
  • Update and maintain product launch plans and roadmaps.
  • Communicate and document new product functionalities and processes.
  • Execute product presentations and demo scripts.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

 

  • Degree in Architecture (BArch or MArch) preferred or relevant experience in buildings-related projects.
  • MBA / Business background highly advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of all building disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical.
  • 5+ years of experience as a product manager or product owner, preferred with background in software industry (SaaS). 
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to translate technical details and communicate key information to non-technical audiences.
  • A passion for Cloud solutions for buildings, facilities, campuses, and their supply chain.
  • Strategic thinker with a high level of business acumen.
  • Ability to negotiate with cross-functional teams to build consensus and align objectives.
  • Proven track record of proactively identifying and mitigating obstacles to accelerate time to market.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% globally.
