Eaton's Electrical Services & Systems is currently seeking a Product Manager- Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) to join our team. This position can be based at our Milton, Ontario facility. Position Overview: The product manager will provide leadership in formulation and implementation of Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure (EVCI) product line strategy, marketing plans and growth programs, and new product development / customer value propositions to enhance sales and profitability growth for the Low Voltage Distribution Assemblies (LVDA) product line. The product manager leads all aspects of Voice of Customer (VOC), administering the process and implementing collection for the product line. This role drives and completes all marketing activities and documents required for New Product Development projects. The role will help to direct the activities of the Canadian sales team related to the product offering, defining target projects, capital expenditures, and identifying attractive opportunities with key accounts. It will engage with potential customers (especially higher in their organizations) early in their projects to generate Eaton "mindshare", potentially even before they have a project budget. The role will also have responsibility to identify, cultivate, execute, and manage partnership opportunities, including with new and existing external technology/solution partners. The product manager will work closely with the US Connected solutions marketing team and global engineering and product management teams and will have excellent knowledge of the key decision makers (Energy Transition Integrators, Contractors, End users, OEM’s) core and emerging vertical market segments and a thorough understanding of the dynamics of selling new and emerging technologies. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Achieve strategic and financial objectives for the product line to meet revenue and margin goals Collaborate and partner with other product lines and/or companies/firms to create bundled hardware & software portfolio solutions that deliver on synergies for our targeted customer segments Collaborate with other marketing departments to develop, deploy and execute a holistic pricing strategy that meets revenue, share and profitability targets Drive front end efficiencies via Bid Manager and operational efficiencies by supporting the plant in Value Add and Value Engineered (VA/VE) activities Work with Marketing Communications to support product promotion of the EV charging product line including traditional promotional materials as well as on-line and multimedia assets Partner with OEMs, engineering consultants, integrators, and other key customers/stakeholders including sales engineers, application engineers and executive leadership within our customer base to drive adoption of the EVCI product offering Be a voice of the customer and set appropriate expectations, goal weightings and targets with other Eaton divisions and sales/channel organizations Serve as the product line spokesperson in key customer interactions, business development opportunities, and negotiations with customers Track relevant market trends and the evolving competitive landscape while maintaining a comprehensive understanding of EV charging product applications and relevant standards Strive for EBE (Eaton Business Excellence) When we embrace the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds that make each of us unique, we — as individuals and as a company — are stronger Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: University degree in Engineering or Business Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales, product management, marketing and/or engineering related to power distribution or electrical vehicle charging Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future No relocation provided. Preferred qualifications: Minimum 5 years of experience dealing with commercial aspects and pricing Strong technical product knowledge of electrical distribution and control systems Demonstrated knowledge of power distribution, products or electrical vehicle chargers Preference to bilingual (English/French) Eaton has in place accessibility policies for accommodating employees with disabilities.
