Find out more about the Digital world of Siemens here: www.siemens.com/careers/digitalminds Function description (roles/accountabilities): The Product Manager Electromagnetics will assist the Lead Product Manager in the inbound and outbound product management, the go-to-market and the business development of the Simcenter Low Frequency Electromagnetics simulation portfolio, consisting of: Simcenter SPEED Simcenter Motorsolve Simcenter MAGNET portfolio Simcenter 3D Low Frequency EM portfolio As well as STAR-CCM+ Electromagnetics and Simcenter FLOEFD EMAG For this function, there is a requirement for being an electrical engineer, with a solid foundation of e-machine engineering, combined with Electromagnetics Low Frequency simulation expertise, preferably based on Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Beyond technical, the function requires go-to-market, strategic thinking and commercial skills. The clear and ultimate objective is to result in tangible commercial success and significant increased revenue of the Low Frequency Electromagnetics simulation portfolio. Through regular contacts with customers, through competitive analysis, through analyzing market trends, the product manager has the responsibility to identify and specify the requirements for new, applications driving the growth of the product line. To justify product investment, strong business cases should be developed, discussed with the line manager and defended to higher management. The function includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks: Product Creation Process: The Product Manager will support the execution of the Product Creation Process: from establishing software requirement to bringing the product to market as a fully released product, all within an Agile software development process. Making sure all relevant documents are available on-time and on-quality and lead customers are identified, early visibility tests are executed and customer reference quotes are collected. Business Development: The Product Manager will support the development of the business at major accounts, either through actively supporting the Siemens commercial operations in the field, or by direct customer interactions. Developing lead accounts will result into the need for taking customer requirements and making the case of product implementation. Product Marketing and Launch: The product manager will help defining and supporting the Industry campaigns as well as the launch of every major product release such as what’s new webinar, blogs, etc. Translating existing technical features into clear, verifiable customer values will be a core task to carry forward as a product manager Enablement: Sales trainings, new hires trainings, commercial & technical trainings to the application engineers in the field are carried out frequently, either virtual or on-site in the regions. Desired Profile: Educational Level: University level degree in Electrical Engineering or combination of Electrical-Mechanical Engineering Experience: 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering and specifically Electromagnetics simulation. Specific personal competencies: strong communication skills, being confident to enthusiasm a sales team, analytical thinking, team player, excellent English, high customer focus, eager to travel and to learn constantly. Ability to create compelling marketing/sales programs related material.
