Position Overview
We’re looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our iTwin Platform Team. The iTwin platform is an open, scalable cloud platform-as-a-service that enables ISVs, system integrators, engineering firms, and owner-operators to create, visualize, and analyze digital twins of infrastructure assets

 

You will have the primary responsibility for leading the delivery of new Platform APIs, Samples and Documentation to enable 3rd party developers building Infrastructure Digital Twin solutions.  You will play a key role in helping to define and execute Bentley’s iTwin Platform PaaS strategy and in driving Platform adoption.
 

The ideal candidate is familiar with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) offerings and has experience with consumption-based sales models.  They are customer-oriented with great listening and communication skills. This position is highly cross-functional working closely with UX, Development and Business teams. You will need to successfully work with cross-functional teams, understand what is needed to successfully build and market products, and coordinate with both business and technical teams. You must be able to work independently and have a history of successful product implementations. You will leverage your technical skills and industry background to influence Bentley's rapidly growing PaaS offerings. 

 

 

Location: This position can be remote based from a home office in the US in Eastern or Central time zone

 

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research including collecting customer feedback and performing market analysis activities to help identify and prioritize iTwin Platform requirements
• Communicate key market needs to other product managers, development managers and development teams
• Contribute to product strategy and roadmap definition.
• Conduct Competitive Analysis (e.g. SWOT) and Win/Loss Analysis
• Document new functionality and processes
• Assist with defining buyer personas and determining market messaging in collaboration with Marketing.
• Maintain product launch plans in collaboration with Marketing
• Creating standard presentations and demo scripts
• Documenting competitive threats and related industry news
• Coordinate and drive key priorities both within the iTwin Platform team and across other departments (multiple product teams and marketing) to expedite time to market
• Defining and managing priorities against the available capacity of team members
• Setting and communicating expectations both up and down management chain
• Monitor metrics on the usage of iTwin Platform in order to identify and prioritize the most effective methods of improving the developer experience

 

 Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field, or relevant years of experience
• 5 years of user engagement as product manager or owner
• Experience in technology development, ideally regarding API consumption and Cloud technology
• Proficient in effectively communicating to a wide range of audiences
• Proven experience in delivering software products and projects
• Experience in balancing multiple priorities and dealing with ambiguity
• Experience in applying a data driven approach to analyze and react to market adoption
• Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer. The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling and meeting functions.

• Proven track record of proactively identifying and mitigating obstacles to accelerate time to market
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
