Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Product Manager, Overhead Distribution Switchgear to join our team. This position is located at our facility in South Milwaukee, WI and offers a flexible hybrid schedule based on business needs. Relocation is offered to those currently residing in the US. Position Overview: The Product Manager provides vision and leadership for various strategic and tactical initiatives for the Overhead Distribution Switchgear segment of the Switchgear Product Line. Reporting to the Switchgear Product Line Manager, this role will manage a team focused on delivering profitable growth for the Recloser and Controls product portfolio and is engaged in a wide range of responsibilities including oversight of a comprehensive portfolio lifecycle management strategy including, new product development and introductions, product transitions and product rationalizations, creation and delivery of promotional and training materials and establishing market positioning strategies. The Product Manager must possess or quickly develop a solid understanding of the assigned products, applications, markets, competitors, and sales channels for the assigned products. How you will help to build success: Collaborate with various stakeholders to build the vision and promote teamwork and drive a profitable growth strategy for the assigned portfolio of products and solutions. Perform market research, Voice of Customer (VOC) and competitive analysis to understand the relevant market and technology landscape to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats to develop and guide an effective product marketing strategy. Build case for new business opportunities, new product developments, product enhancements or optimizations, product rationalization, value engineering, promotional programs, etc. Work closely with the engineering team to create and drive product and technology roadmaps Manage and oversee the development of the marketing engineering team responsible for providing customers, sales and other stakeholders with product and application support. Leading marketing responsibilities for new product development and product or operational improvement projects. Execute product launches working closely with marketing communications, engineering, sales and operations teams. Develop, maintain, and update product documentation and sales enablement tools to include presentations, website and e-marketing, literature, videos, and other marketing tools. Lead participation and coordinate team representation and training at trade events, internal and external training events, etc. Support the Product Line Manager and other stakeholders to develop, update and implement strategic plans in support of achieving Product Line business objectives. Create and present materials in various forums such as internal business reviews, budget planning, strategy sessions, staff & team meetings, sales & customer meetings and others. Working closely with management, sales and other stakeholders to achieve financial plans, attaining orders, sales, margin, and vitality sales objectives. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administration from an accredited institution Seven (7) years of experience in sales, product marketing, engineering or a combination Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering MBA Five (5) years of industry experience with a manufacturer, distributor, large user of power distribution equipment Two (2) years of experience in business development, product management or strategic planning. Knowledge of electrical systems applications, equipment and standards. Position Criteria: Data-driven, disciplined, objective, and detail-oriented.
