The role

As we extend our proven platform strategy, we are building strategic integrations and accelerators with a product perspective. This means bringing together the work of Engineering with input from commercial and solution teams, with a view to further extensibility from partners and professional services. To focus the product team’s efforts, it’s crucial to make the right strategic choices, and this role plays a key part in that.

Key use cases to enable include integrating data with content; enabling connected customer experiences with conversational interactions & AI; and generating business insights into content ROI and customer success.

This new role is a unique opportunity to combine product management thinking (with the backing of a mature product team) together with a future-facing view on solutions. It has the potential to solve many tricky business challenges for customers and in the process drive great commercial success.

Activities

To succeed, you should be able to:

  • understand our customers’ work environments, how our products help them, and what jobs to be done could be addressed (or addressed better) by extending the solution and accelerating integrations
  • think of creative ways to execute and extend product strategies
  • assess what makes technical sense in the current architecture as well as help enhance future architectural directions
  • use data to show how customer and internal goals are achieved
  • create technical proofs of concept and show how others can do the same
  • draft business cases that include partner and professional services contributions as well as core support
  • enthuse audiences with the product capabilities now as well as new initiatives
  • effectively co-ordinate initiatives along lines of influence rather than direct control
  • patiently persist in the face of setbacks, and creatively adapt your approach when needed

Experience

To succeed in this role, we think the following experience is needed. But if you don’t quite have all this but have other useful skills and knowledge, please apply anyway!

We think you’ll need experience of:

  • Working as a product owner or product manager for at least three years
  • Building technical proofs of concept
  • Defining or building integrations between products
  • Working with partner organizations and influencing them
  • Co-ordinating communication and activities across teams
  • Working with reporting/analytics tools and deriving insights
  • Working with product marketing
  • Some financial experience, for example controlling project budget spend
  • Ideally some experience with semantic technologies or linguistic AI applications
