Description

The Product Owner connects the business requirements with the development team in charge of the product. His/her role is to manage the development backlog in order to build the product within a scrum team according to the roadmap defined by PM & Stakeholders.

Core responsibilities

• Gather product requirements from PM / Stakeholders;
• Clarify requirements with development team;
• Organize product backlog, set priorities and organize development according to roadmap;
• Write user stories in a clear manner, reflecting the features in an understandable way;
• Organize bug reports: establish priority, follow, review and ensure all issues get dealt with;
• Conduct feedback loop with PM / stakeholders to propose improvements and voice the team’s suggestions for the product;
• Review and validate team’s work every sprint according to the agreed definition of done: conduct final testing on every feature, discuss adjustments with the team, and have a final word on whether features can be shipped or not;
• Updates PM & company about project’s progress.

Extra responsibilities

• Ensures the development team has a clear view over the roadmap and upcoming stories;
• Follow production state and availability, usability, coherence, reacting if necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum:
• Excellent communication skills, both orally and written: English mandatory; Chinese, German & product languages are a plus;
• Experience in product / project management in web or small business technology;
• Highly organized and totally self-managed, requiring little to no supervision;
• Smart, driven, get things done attitude, able to multi-task;
• Able to see big picture, prioritize and enforce project deadlines and schedules;
• Passionate about web-technology, online media and technical development.

Desirable:
• IT degree OR solid experience in web development;
• Able to generate enthusiasm among team members;
• Agile and Scrum experience.
