Eaton's Digital Office is currently seeking a Product Owner, Industrial Internet of Things (IoT) to join our team. This position can be located in either Cleveland OH, Moon Twp PA, Syracuse NY, Raleigh NC, Charlotte NC, Ashville NC, Plymouth MN, Milwaukee WI, Peachtree GA, or Houston TX locations. This position offers a HYBRID schedule. Position Overview: The primary function of the Product Owner, Digital Hardware is to maximize the value of Eaton’s Brightlayer solutions for our customers and Eaton. The successful candidate will be flexible and with the demonstrated ability to seamlessly adapt to ever-changing business requirements. Strong people and technical skills will also be needed. In this role, you will be working across the organization with Engineering, Eaton’s Digital Office and business segments. This position will contribute to the development of system-level solutions comprised of hardware, including devices, edge gateways, networking, sensors, and value software applications. An area of focus area will be the advancement of hardware offerings associated with Eaton’s Brightlayer solutions. The successful candidate has the opportunity to develop a digital hardware foundation for the Eaton’s Brightlayer solution(s) that doesn’t exist today. In this role you will: Provide leadership for assigned hardware including cost, delivery, technical, and quality. Support the definition of overall program plans and translate plans into requirements. Strong commercial awareness and is expected to influence the development of strategy Assist in the development and maintenance of a prioritized hardware (gateway, telematics device, Industrial PC, meters, Variable Frequency Drives etc. product roadmap with well-defined product requirements and business justifications. Develop clear product requirements and communicate them with engineering teams and other stakeholders as needed. Maintain knowledge of the technical and operational elements of the products you are responsible for. Manage hardware product development processes and new hardware products. Represent Eaton’s Digital Office in meetings with technical and non-technical teams, while clearly communicating the need for solutions. Partner with marketing professionals to ensure the value proposition for hardware solution(s) is clearly communicated in go-to-market materials for individual hardware offerings and Eaton’s Brightlayer solution. Be the subject matter expert for hardware in the design of overall Brightlayer end-to-end customer solutions. Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product. Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with the product strategy. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated Agile of experience. Minimum five (5) years of experience in Product Management. Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with demonstrated attention to detail. Prove analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for a variety of audiences at all levels of the organization. Ability and willingness to travel domestically; up to 20%. Must be able to work in the United States without Corporate sponsorship now and within the future. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution. Minimum two (2) years of experience in hardware product design. Extensive knowledge about hardware product development. Experience in hardware assembly qualification and verification testing. Experience in Industrial and/or hazardous location markets. Knowledge of production and supply chain.
