Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in the wireless consumer electronics industry. Experience with technical quality details of issues and risks.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Mandarin fluently and idiomatically.
- Ability to travel within region and internationally.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering, or a similar technical field. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), and/or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA).
- 8 years of experience with product quality development, best practices, and mobile or consumer electronics manufacturing.
- Experience working with embedded system, digital logic board process engineering, and wireless subsystem testing.
- Experience preventing quality loss in early stage of manufacturing, implement quality escalation processes, and on-going product improvement with CM partners.
- Experience leading cross-functional problem-solving, using practical approaches.
- Ability to implement quality metrics, cost-effective methods, and capture critical measuring system analysis.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you evaluate the product designs and create the processes, tools and procedures behind Google’s powerful search technology. As a Product Quality Engineer, you are a manufacturing engineering professional on quality and have the leadership skills to pursue product quality activities with cross-functional teams, Engineering teams, the Contract Manufacturer (CM), and Suppliers. In this role, you will lead and manage the CM Quality team to identify risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. You will take initiative and break down complex challenges or vague tasks in a comprehensive plan to develop, check, and make improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Enable individuals to set the proper quality priorities and put risk mitigation plans in place. Drive DOE and collect SPC data to enable evaluation, qualification, and verification cost-effectively in manufacturing quality across functional teams.
- Define and implement Product Quality Plans during development phase. Participate in Design for Quality review process with Engineering and Manufacturing Partner. Implement production quality metric integration, deep-dive both design/process controls and audits at offshore CM.
- Define specific cosmetic requirements at product and key component level and communicate with Manufacturing Partners to implement in quality controlled process.
- Align FATP IQC and Supplier OQC Plans and measurement techniques.
- Manage factory quality issue escalation process, address manufacturing quality related issues discovered during NPI and MP Phase.
