The Product Regulatory Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Conducting regulatory engineering activities in partnership with business unit design teams. There are multiple opportunities to work with vendors and suppliers, review schematics, develop new procedures, optimize existing processes, and engage with multiple levels of management.
  • You may oversee testing laboratories or conduct your testing for Product Safety, EMC, Immunity, and Wireless emission tests.
  • As your career progresses in the team, you will have opportunities to interact with external standards bodies and special industry groups and be part of one of many Centers of Excellence within the team.
  • Partner with our Legal and Public Policy teams to ensure that Intel's products remain competitive in the global marketplace. It's fast-paced, always something new, and the ability to have a positive impact is huge.

  • Comfortable working in a highly matrixed organization across functional teams and working independently within the framework of Intel roadmaps and department processes.
  • Some travel may be required.


Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.

This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related technical field of study.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in at least one of the following: Electronics, fundamental product regulatory compliance concepts, and/or physics.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge in:

  • Fundamental safety concepts, testing standards, and risk analysis.
  • Fundamentals of RF circuitry, wireless technologies, and their regulatory requirements.
  • Fundamentals of EMC regulatory requirements and Fundamentals of Electronics and physics.
  • Global product regulatory.
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field of study.

Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) is responsible for test development across product segments, supporting 95% of Intel's revenue. We deliver comprehensive pre-production test suites and component/physical debug capabilities to enable high quality, high volume manufacturing.

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
