Key Responsibilities

1. Performs and/ or supervises testing of modules and systems, and performs and/ or  supervises statistical analysis of laboratory or field data, and spare parts shipments.  Presents reliability status updates and reports to project teams and management.
2. Prepares product, laboratory, or vendor reliability test plans. Recommends design or test methods and drives procedures for achieving required levels of product reliability. 
3. Approve product, laboratory or vendor reliability test plans. Performs allocation and modeling of reliability specifications for the Material Requirement Specification of systems, modules, and components.
4. Performs or requests failure analysis of components under test Designs test fixtures and data collect systems.
5. Develops Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis.  Advises design engineering on selection, application and test of electronic components and systems.
6. Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer and any governmental agency reliability objectives. 
7. Assists Engineering in the selection of more reliable components and in using reliable design practices through participation in formal design reviews and engineering meetings.
8. Prepares reliability status presentations and reports to project teams and senior management.
