Position Summary:

A Product Sales Engineer is focused on finding new business opportunities with new and existing Bentley accounts for their associated brand of solutions. As such you are responsible for selling software Licenses, cloud services and subscriptions.

You are responsible for achieving assigned sales goals from accounts and prospects located within your defined geographic territory (SE Asia) for our Reality Modelling, 3D mapping and surveying software products

You are expected to build you own sales pipeline, to prospect and develop business, respond to incoming sales leads, give presentations and product demonstrations. You will devote considerable amount of time to visiting prospects, existing users and sales events in your assigned territory.

This is a revenue generating role supporting new and existing accounts with Bentley software products and services that help our users achieve their desired business outcomes. You will help grow market share of assigned brands within your region.  Successful Product Sales Engineers will thrive in a fast-paced environment, are self-motivated and will ideally have domain and some sales experience.

 

Your Day-to-Day:  

 

  • Responsible for selling assigned brands into both net new and existing users. 

  • Qualify and close transactional inbound and usage-based opportunities.  

  • Expertly use LinkedIn and other social media means to engage prospects. 

  • Supporting recruiting for Bentley events, seminars, conferences and Channel partner events as required. 

  • Create effective business plans to prospect for net new business opportunities and drive sales in assigned territory to exceed quota. 

  • Develop relationships at various levels including C-Level, VPs, Directors with target accounts through use of direct sales techniques and conduct virtual meetings. 

  • Develop a sales pipeline and forecast all revenue by effectively following sales process and managing all opportunities in CRM. Adhere to the Bentley Sales Process fully utilizing SAP Cloud for Sales (C4S) as a daily sales tool and reporting system 

  • Promote our value proposition to designers, engineers, architects, contractors and owners by providing technical solutions to help the customer's meet or exceed business objectives. 

  • Maintain a detailed knowledge and understanding of all Commercial Offerings and Software Support Policies. 

  • High level use and comfort utilizing social media and prospecting intelligence resources. 

  • Negotiate sales and/or service agreements. 

  • Maintain a high knowledge level of the company's solutions and services. 

 

What You Bring to The Team:

  • You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in GIS, Surveying, Geoinformatics or Civil Engineering with strong knowledge of the geospatial mapping / surveying industry or equivalent level achieved through experience
  • You gained engineering experience (preferably 5+ years); probably you like the surveying/, GIS or engineering world but found out that you don’t want to be a practicing engineer
  • You have commercial talent, minimum 1-2 years’ experience in sales or customer service are required, and can close a deal in a pleasant non-intrusive manner
  • You are a self-starter
  • You combine customer focus with being service oriented and highly motivated
  • You have a positive attitude, eye for detail, are resourceful and inquisitive
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively present information to users and prospects via phone, web and face-to-face
  • Software proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required
  • You should have the ability to travel up to 40% of your time
  • You should be able to work effectively in a team together with your colleagues in the office. The success of Bentley is a team effort
