Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking to recruit an experienced clinical qPCR sales specialist for Southeast Asia (SEA). The individual will be responsible for driving our growing portfolio of clinical qPCR solutions in SEA, including Singapore.


This individual will be the subject matter expert for clinical qPCR assays and reagents for both direct as well as channel sales. S/he will implement and execute the strategy to grow market share for clinical qPCR business in SEA. S/he must have a proven track record in delivering and/or overachieving target revenue. Technical knowledge and hands on experiences of clinical market and prior selling experience with qPCR reagents, will be required. As the product portfolio develop within the clinical business, other assays using NGS and Sanger sequencing technologies will also be included into the business.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with country sales and channel managers to execute clinical qPCR business growth strategy.
  • Responsible for achieving clinical qPCR business revenue target for SEA.
  • Work with regional or country marketing team to understand competitive landscape and positioning our clinical solutions.
  • Consulting selling of our clinical solutions.
  • Work with distributors to capture market share for clinical qPCR business.
  • Work with distributors, customer care, product managers to improve delivery lead times.
  • Identify and develop high value accounts in SEA.
  • Working within division and cross-divisions to drive incremental growth through value proposition and workflow selling solutions.
  • Provide accurate forecast and big deal pipeline management, utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and marketing leads.
  • Ensure a financially sound operation with solid corporate governance and compliance.
  • Serve as a Role Model Leader, demonstrating our 4I Values (Integrity, Intensity, Involvement and Innovation).
  • Involved in post-sales support for key accounts.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years experiences ideally in the Clinical or Life Sciences industry, in sales/support, in Singapore and/or SEA.
  • Experience in clinical market in Singapore and SEA.
  • Experienced in qPCR, understand qPCR principle, workflow and troubleshooting.
  • Preferably with experiences in NGS and Sanger sequencing in clinical market.
  • Customer centric and show desire to win.
  • Proven track record of driving commercial excellence and success in a fast paced, high growth environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a complex matrix environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusting relationships as well as influence employees at all levels.
