Position Summary

Bentley Systems is seeking a talented individual to support our growing technical team in Australia. The role will be based in Perth and job duties will extend globally/ regionally.

Our product specialists are typically experts of a full industry solution consisting of a number of applications and related workflows and play an important role in driving adoption or our product through direct and indirect user engagements, as well as winning sales through their excellent product knowledge, presentation and demonstration skills. The product specialist is also responsible for ensuring our solutions are applicable to local markets, and thus contribute significantly to expanding our business, enabling further adoption and growth.

Qualifications

• Building/ Construction/ Civil Engineering/ Plant/ Construction Management degree or equivalent
• 2-5 years relevant industry experience, incl. knowledge of BIM workflows and processes
• Experience with intelligent Plant Design or 3D BIM software is a must, experience with Bentley Software preferred
• Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong people skills including managing client meetings and outcome critical discussions, with the ability to explain complex issues and solutions to audiences of different levels of knowledge and seniority
• Outgoing and extrovert personality with strong team working and interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships internally and externally
• Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
• Able to adjust to changing work and project locations and situations
• Fluency in English, oral and written
• Able to travel min. 30% of the time, without restrictions

Day to Day Tasks

• Achieving and maintaining a high degree of competency in a full industry solution set; this includes expert knowledge of min. one of our products down to full administration/ customization proficiency combined with deep familiarity of our platform applications MicroStation and ProjectWise plus working skills of all solution-relevant adjacent products. This advanced competency will be proven through internal certification programs and awarded badges.
• Supporting local and general software requirements and adding input to roadmaps:
  • Creating data sets, incorporating local standards, and supporting localizations
  • Acting as liaison between users and internal Bentley stakeholders to ensure key requirements in focus regions are incorporated
  • Facilitating solutions to escalations thru tight collaboration with Technical Support, Product Management and Development; assisting in enhancing product quality working closely with product development groups based on user input
  • Driving user adoption and increasing product usage working with local accounts and our internal Success Team
• Supporting product and license sales with benefit oriented, feature specific demonstrations that promote Bentley solutions in close collaboration with our sales, marketing and technical teams, articulating technology, and product positioning to both business and technical users; assisting in sales campaign delivery and the Bentley sales cycle from start to close of an opportunity
• Supporting our one-to-many strategy through creation of online content such as YouTube videos and other self-service items in close collaboration with Marketing; webinar and virtual meeting delivery, and subsequent follow up with interested parties
• Creating self-service help items such as virtual product trainings or best practice instructions (Foundational Blueprints), and other general and account specific adoption and services templates (Enterprise Blueprints) to facilitate user enablement
• Assisting with regional reseller and partner development, skill- and knowledge transfer to facilitate their skill building
• Creating content for internal virtual and in person events, such as our Year In Infrastructure Conference (YII) and assisting with its delivery; proactively working with and supporting our users preparing for YII.
