Eaton’s Information Technology division is currently seeking a Product Technical Owner – Analytics Platforms to join our team. This position can be based at any Eaton facility in the U.S. and is eligible for a hybrid work setup. We are currently seeking a Product Technical Owner to join our Analytics Platform team. The candidate can be based out of any Eaton facility in the United States. In this role, product owner, you will be responsible for working in partnership with IT value stream groups and business partners to identify opportunities to enhance analytics platform services across enterprise. As a Product owner you will be responsible for managing the product backlog to ensure the most critical deliverables/enhancements are actioned to maximize business support/outcomes for Analytics platform. The role will require successful candidate to build strong relationships across business groups and IT value streams to ensure product backlog items are prioritized appropriately based on impact. You will work within IDM & Analytics platform leadership supporting modernization strategy, roadmap and implementation of data storage platform ecosystem providing enhanced customer experiences to business unit functions. You will be managing customers relationship/expectations while working across various product teams to ensure effective product delivery. In addition, you will be responsible for work allocation to full stack Data Engineers that will deliver product backlog items, providing a unique opportunity for technology product ownership across Value Stream and Business Unit delivery. In this function you will: Driving Next Generation Analytics Platform Strategy, processes, and technologies across Eaton. Creating processes for gathering product backlog stories. Work with Analytics platform Architects to develop Patterns, deployment templates, architecture. Working to prioritize Analytics backlog. Building 'sprint' work packages and assignment of work to full stack data engineering for execution. Ensuring product backlog is understood and communicated to stakeholders. Support execution on a comprehensive Information and Data value stream strategy. Ensure Information and Data products delivered via DevOps standards. Manage/Provide support services across Information and Data application for analytics platform. Support evolution of high-quality analytics products in line with business requirements using an Agile DevOps development methodology. Work in partnership with IDM product teams to deliver key product updates supporting cloud transition. Support delivery and execution of product KPIs. Consult with value stream teams on identified priorities for analytics platform. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution required. A minimum of 8 years of data and/or application management experience. No relocation is provided for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of any Eaton location in the United States to be considered for this opportunity. Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States on a continuous basis without company sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the lifecycle management of enterprise-class analytics platforms. Experience with implementing solutions to monitor and improve data/platform availability across multiple domains. Experience facilitating design discussions on how best to build out analytics solutions. Experience working with a mixture of 3rd party and cloud native technologies and ecosystems, including AWS and Microsoft Azure. Experience driving global change management initiatives. Experience achieving team KPIs. Position Criteria: Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at senior levels of an organization and demonstrated experience managing vendors. Ability to lead team through diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems. Ability to identify operational issues and proactively solution to resolve problems. Experience reporting team progress and opportunities to IT leadership. Ability to drive application modernization and enablement across multiple platforms simultaneously. Experience managing high-level technical projects with support from global IT and business teams. Experience influencing leadership and key stakeholders on technology solutions. Experience applying knowledge of new processes and concepts in IT management, structure, and organization. Ability to lead user research to simplify and improve the development process for analytics. Solid working knowledge of one or more analytics platforms (PowerBI, OBIEE, Qlik, Alteryx/Dataiku) Knowledge of data architectures including data lakes, warehouses, marts. Specific experience in cloud-based data solutions such as Azure BLOB or ADLS and Synapse, AWS S3, EMR and Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake, etc. At Eaton, we strive to provide compensation and benefits that attract, engage, and retain the best talent.
