Job duty:

A) Performing the following knowledge based tasks:
1. Design formulation based on North Asia consumer understanding, knowledge of formulation principles, knowledge of competitor formulations, and knowledge of Chinese national standards
2. Assess and analyse product appraisal/storage etc. data
3. Ensure global technology rollout in North Asia if relevant

B) Leverage ecosystem on product development:
1. Close link with available 3rd parties on product development, including issue correct technical brief, internal clearance on critical points, develop KBS toolkit for innovative format
2. Close link with suppliers on innovative technology, select relevant technologies and build into pipeline
3. Support on new partnership development

C) Co-ordinating project activities and SCS:
1. Ensure that formulation tasks are executed as per project network timelines
2. Represent product development in project team meetings
3. Support the Technical Project Leader in project management activities & engaging with multiple functions such as brand, finance, Supply Chain
4. Lead low to medium complex project as Technical project leader Provide technical expertise to support supply chain trouble shooting

D) Executing routine product development tasks:

1. Sample preparation for tests/evaluations

2. Operate and report values of standard equipment for formulation assessment

3. Support pilot scale up work

4. Do formulation costing

5. Monitor competitor new launches and product analysis.

6. Manage new product specification with specification and MET team

7. Raise clearances such as patent/regulatory/Safety

8. Use LIMS/PLM to set up and manage RM inventory/Sampling/Formulation/Processing/Product Stability database.
