You would be working on people and process improvement activities within production, ensuring safe working practices are in place and productivity improvements are made within your work area. As a Group Leader, you will gain knowledge of Siemens products, and Lean manufacturing processes. You will learn about the tools and techniques to continuously improve and engage with support teams to find solutions. You will be capable of actively building team spirit – training and developing other team members in a variety of disciplines. The Group Leader has broad knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools and techniques, is adept in breaking down problems and contributing to solutions, ensures positive outcomes. Provides discipline and structure in ensuring core processes (such as TPM, Quality, 7S) are attended and actions managed. What part will you play? Develops and applies critical thinking Is structured and disciplined in breaking down problems and contributing solutions Leads and contributes towards business excellence in area of responsibility With the support of the IT team, Sponsors Cyber Security within their area Understands value from the point-of-view of the Customer and encourages a Customer First mindset Drives Lean initiatives and searches for technical solutions Adept in utilising Microsoft office applications Champions Stock accuracy within areas of responsibility Leads Kaizen (change in the workplace) within areas of responsibility Supports and offers expert knowledge to Capacity planning process Strives for Productivity within areas of responsibility What does it take to be successful in this role? With an adaptive leadership style, the Group Leader develops and delivers tools and processes to sustain and improve area of responsibility. Has a willingness to continuously improve self and others. Exerts high levels of emotional intelligence, being both self and socially aware.
