Job Description

JOB DEFINITION:

Coordinates, direct and oversee the planning and manufacturing of products and stocks required meeting organizational plans and production efficiently and safely while exceeding minimum quality standards and customer requirements, involving effective control of scheduling, personnel, cost, performance, quality and waste requirements.


KEY RESPONSABILITIES/TASK:

Strategy and Development

  • Overall responsibility for all material/equipment/HR planning and production activities across the business implementing best practices, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Evaluate the challenges faced by the organisation and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities.
  • Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process.

Production

  • Development and improvement of production management system and in-house production management and documentation / reports.
  • Responsible for calculate machinery performance and capacity planning and monitor/report production KPIs such as OEE and productivity.
  • Make analyze and improve all Production reports and Inventory reports of all components, WIP, semifinished and finished products.
  • Production of any stamping tooling, machining fixtures and tooling needed in general for production as well as all tool management.
  • Make all shipping boxes labels/pallet labels/ pallet data and shipment tracks.
  • Supports technical department to manufacture new products/samples and any technical data and/or procurement information needed.
  • Continuous training for each team leader and each personnel involved on the production process.
Planning
  • Responsible for yearly, weekly and daily production planning and continuous follow up by analyzing customer orders and safety stocks required and make/review/update the plan/reports, inform/communicate/act about:
a. Material needs to the responsible of material procurement
b. Review stocks according to orders and customer requirements for production planning
c. Follow up production plan daily/weekly and lead plans to recover delays
d. Possible bottlenecks in production equipment and personnel to the Plant Manager
  • Control together with the responsible of material procurement the supplier deliveries in order to anticipate delays and stablish plans with the suppliers
  • Book and update production orders and confirmed delivery dates in ERP systems
  • Plan/Control/Improve the stock situation of the semi-finished stock.
Continuous Improvement
  • Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure to optimise results.
  • Define a yearly plan to improve the planning activities so that the organization can better anticipate customer requirements.

Department collaboration

  • Ensure that effective data, statistical analysis and performance metrics are available to internal stakeholders.
  • Attend meetings and update others of issues and concerns, in particular when there is a risk of not meeting customer demands or where there are over capacity concerns.
  • Communication with all departments and personnel.
  • Manpower needs to the HR department and Plant Manager.
  • Any other task and completion assigned by General / Plan Manager.

5S and Factory Management

  • Support and lead the plan, implementation and improvement of company’s 5S

TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant production/manufacturing/engineering degree
  • Extensive plant level experience (>5 Yr.)
  • 5S implementation experience
