Oversees all phases of production of creative/promotional campaigns and design by graphics studio and outside vendors within established budget limitations to optimize sales and marketing objectives. Phases of production include consulting with creative and client services groups, mechanical production, estimating costs, issuing purchase orders, scheduling and final approval of the finished pieces and invoics. Follows established agency procedures for estimates, purchase orders, time sheets, vendor logs, etc., and keeps appropriate backup for all financial transactions. 20% 2. Consults with other departments and provides technical assistance in the production of printed material and promotional items to ensure that design concepts are economically and efficiently translated into finished goods, while maintaining high levels of quality within the production Department and outside vendors. 25% 3. Selects and directs outside vendors on specific projects generated by the agency and ensures that all projects are completed in a timely fashion. 15% 4. Investigates potential new vendors and reviews existing vendors to establish and maintain a supplier list providing the agency with the best value available. 10% 5. Provides detailed and accurate instructions and specifications to the design studio in order to assure the highest quality and most accurate product. 15% 6. Is active participant on product team, interfaces with all members in a proactive and client- oriented manner. 15% Qualifications Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in graphics arts or a related field • Five years experience in print production and graphic arts • Thorough knowledge of printing and production techniques with significant advertising agency experience Essential Skills and Abilities • Must know the following software: Clients and Profits and Microsoft Excel and Word.
