Agilent Technologies is seeking an Operation Manager for its growing life sciences manufacturing operation located in Folsom, California. Agilent's laboratory consumables business is an industry leader in innovation, market share and performance. Agilent is seeking energetic, motivated individuals with demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, teamwork and communication.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience working in a fast-paced, high-throughput, leading-edge manufacturing facility, producing products used world-wide for ensuring quality and compliance in such areas as: diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, research and others.

As a member of the Order Fulfillment and Supply Chain team, the Operations Manager will:

  • Manage resources and contribute to strategic workforce planning in all production departments.
  • Define performance expectations and ensure accountability for direct reports.
  • Establish and maintain business controls and processes.
  • Meet and exceed business and operational metrics including customer delivery, quality and gross margin.
  • Support and contribute to continual improvement project implementation and coordinate with support functions as necessary.
  • Define and implement operational efficiencies to meet business targets.
  • Coach and mentor team members.
  • Communicate effectively to team, peers, and leadership.
  • Ensure a work environment consistent with Agilent Core Values.
  • Ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Ensures effective use of materials, equipment and employees in producing quality products.
  • Ensure effective training of direct reports and coordinate training as needed.
  • Assess department resources and develop appropriate resource plan.
  • Coordinate scheduling with planning department.
