Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Production Painter to join our 2nd Shift team. This position is based at our Fayetteville, NC facility. This is a full time, direct hire position. Compensation for this role begins at $17.85 / hour, with a $1.00 / hour increase for 2nd Shift Differential. Shift Hours: 3:30pm- 12 am Monday - Friday Position Overview: Utilize tools and equipment in preparing surfaces to be painted by sanding or rubbing as required. Move and stage parts in and out of the work area, load and unload parts to paint, identify and label parts correctly, and paint parts correctly. They will also operate the paint line conveyor system, Paint booths, spray guns, related treatment tanks, burn off ovens, curing ovens, and other related equipment under the direction of the supervisor or Team Lead. In this function you will: Perform work from manufacturing information, bills of material , written and/or oral instructions. Utilize manufacturing information, determine necessary parts/inventory, jigs/fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas. Provide assistance to higher-level sheet metal fabricators / operators in performance of their duties as required. Deliver material to/from workstations using material handling equipment, position work material on coil cradle / feeder. Ensure correct parts and matching documentation reach next process in a timely fashion. Complete necessary preparation work such as wiping, degreasing, de-burring, or grinding of components. Pick up and place scrap in appropriate containers. Documentation / record-keeping may be required. Operate spotwelders, punch presses and other metal-fabrication equipment as directed. Inspect parts periodically or as directed utilizing manufacturing information such as drawings / blueprints, make necessary adjustments as required. Keep accurate piece count and other applicable records. Apply powder paint and shear various types of material to proper size. Inform Supervisor of any quality problems. Qualifications Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution is required Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates must reside within a 50 mile radius of this location. Active- Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in steel paining techniques including mixing paint and safety precautions of process. Position Criteria: Maintenance of equipment such as dressing of welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and minor adjustments may be necessary. Complete necessary maintenance check sheets and inform Supervisor and / or Maintenance personnel of any problems. Why work at Eaton?
