The primary function of this position is to develop and maintain a purchasing organization and supply bases that effectively meets organizational needs (OTD, lead time, cost, quality, inventory) relative to the procurement of various goods and services. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Design and implement a consistent category strategy across eMobility Operations EMEA that supports Eaton’s expectations in terms of cost, quality, delivery, working capital and service. 2) Liaises with Commodity Management to utilize ONE Eaton strategic supply base whenever possible. 3) Responsible for cost reduction of purchased material. 4) Drives continuous improvement with supply base, e.g. Total Waste Elimination events. 5) Leads price negotiations with suppliers and issues blanket purchase orders. 6) Drives lead time reduction through supplier localization (stocking programs, on-shoring etc.). 7) Measures key performance metrics of the supply base and develops action plans to address underperforming suppliers. 8) Calculates total cost of acquisition and prepares cost comparison spreadsheets, taking inventory carrying, shipping costs, foreign exchange rates, duties etc. into account. Performs sensitivity analysis when required. 9) Monitors risk of supply disruption and takes appropriate action when risks arise. 10) Monitors commodity markets and evaluates impact of any commodity increases on the business. 11) Continuously mentors and develops a team of Commodity Buyers. 12) Supports plants with resolving shortage situations. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree 7+ years of experience in supply chain management, minimum 5 years in procurement Fluency English. Any other European languages would be a plus.
